Our Approach
We provide all of the children with a stimulating and positive learning environment, where they feel comfortable to express themselves and explore the endless possibilities in front of them.
We recognise the importance of sensory learning, as well as developing the 3 prime areas of learning;
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Our staff plan creative and fun learning experiences depending on the age and needs of the child. We ensure there is a varied amount of resources and allow children to explore independently.
Every base room sets up daily 'invitation to play' areas using resources the children have shown an interest in. This allows the children to come into their learning environment and build on previous learning experiences.

Milly's is proud to offer quality care and education for all children from birth to 5 years of age.
There are four guiding principles that shape our practice in Early Years. These are:
- Every child is a UNIQUE CHILD, who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
- Children learning to be strong and develop independence through POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS.
- Children learn and develop well in ENABLING ENVIRONMENTS, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and/or carers.
- Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. The framework covers the education and care of all children in early years provision, including children with special education needs and disabilities.

This room provides a nurturing and calm environment for the youngest children in the Milly's family to feel safe and secure.
The team work hard to ensure the little ones settle well and that even this early start in their learning journey is fun and enjoyable. All resources are at baby height so everything can be explored at all times.

We also have a separate sleep room allowing nap times to be in a calming space

This is a busy space!
Our staff plan and set up different activities that engage and challenge all children within the room.
Although this space is busy, it is still very nurturing. The staff work with the children to be confident expressing their emotions and to be able to start to build a strong foundation in friendships with everyone in

This space is child led, and the children have full access to opportunities to learn and develop in a space created specifically for them.
