I have attended Thrive courses which have been valuable in understanding child brain development and helping children with their emotional skills and needs.
I particularly like doing art, reading stories and outside play with the children, whilst encouraging their confidence, self belief and resilience.
After gaining my Level 3 qualification, I have been working with children for 10 years now, as well as having my own little boy.
I work with the babies and toddlers, we love to do messy and sensory play!

I have been working in education since the age of 19, I started out as a self-employed violin teacher. I became a Teaching Assistant 17 years ago and took a break when I had my own children. I have four children, one of which attends the setting. I started working at Milly's in October of 2023.
Sensory play and arts and crafts are one of my favourite kinds of activities to plan for the children. I always ensure that the children have access to all kinds of activities that will enhance their development and imagination.
In my spare time I love all things nature, walks in the woods, swimming in the sea and I am a big fan of music.
I have worked in childcare since 2008, only having a break to have my 3 children.
Milly's is my third childcare setting that I have worked in and I have experience in working within all age ranges within Early Years.
I enjoy outdoor learning and think there are great opportunities for children to learn and develop whilst exploring nature.
What I like best about working in Early Years is working with families and supporting children to become unique individuals in a caring environment.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my children, which usually consists of ferrying them around to clubs and football matches!
I have been a member of staff since April 2023, I am currently studying for my level 2 qualification, as I wish to progress within the early years sector. In my free time I enjoy being outside, sewing and spending time with my family, including my two young children who are 7 and 2.
I have been in education ever since I left college. My first role was as an ESL teacher in China for 6 years before I moved to the UK in 2018.
I then moved on to supporting young Chinese students who are attending boarding schools in the UK. After becoming a mum to my two children, my passion for early years development has led me to work at Milly's, first as a volunteer, now as a practitioner. I'm currently studying for my Level 3 diploma in Early Years and I really enjoy working with all the children and staff at Milly's.
I have been working with children for 10 years and I have loved seeing how I can change little peoples lives by supporting them in their learning journey.
